I love tattoos on women, but are they safe to have?

I find tattoos to be sexy on a lady only in certain areas and they must not be too big. Back bikini line, ankle, breast and butts are my favorites on a lady. Tattoos on women’s arms are not attractive to me at all. Piercing, and belly button rings on women drive me crazy!

I love tattoos on women, but are they safe to have?

Marked 4 Life, Tattoos (better to forget about them).
(I am just passing on information, so please don’t get mad at me. Sawaad Amen Ra)

You think that tattoo of June bug; your baby’s daddy on your neck is cute, don’t you? What about that rose with your mother and daughters name in it. That’s off the chain, right? What about that tattoo with your old lady Chaquetta in that wine glass all across your back, that’s fly. No wait! What about that tongue, navel and nipple rings that you just got last week. Putting your dead homie`s name or picture on your body as a memorial or tribute may sound good now but what about 20 years from now? What about when you go out on a job interview and you have tattoos on your neck, leg and hands and your potential employer is looking at you like you are 10 karat crazy. An employer would not look favorably on you even if you have an impeccable resume and references. Unlike body piercing that you can take out, you cannot do that with tattoos. Body piercing, like tattooing (not temporary ones) has become increasingly popular among Blacks and Latinos over the past five years. Some say it’s due in part by the increasing presence of body art on entertainers. No matter how much some of them hate the role model title, they are being looked up to by many of today’s youth.

The NBA`s Allen Iverson says on his Web site, I have things on my body that are just tattoos to others but mean a lot to me. These aren’t just tattoos to me. No matter how much meaning a tattoo or piercing has to an entertainer, they must realize that they are influencing millions of young people. Piercing eyebrows, genitals, navels, lips, noses--and multiple earrings--have become common. But body piercing can give you serious diseases, some of which may not show up for years. Some doctors warn that unsterilized needles may lead to liver cancer, HIV, hepatitis B, and the more serious hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is a potentially lethal virus that is now four times as widespread as HIV, and few of the nations 3 or 4 million carriers have any idea they’re infected.

HCV or hepatitis C virus was not even discovered until 1988, and there was no treatment available at that time. Hepatitis C is a virus that causes long-term liver disease, even cancer. It can remain hidden in your body for ten years or more. Many people who have gotten the virus from body piercing and tattooing may not realize they are sitting on an infectious time bomb until the disease strikes. Body-piercing jewelry made from nickel can cause bad infections that can last up to a year. Dr. Janice Carter, of Chicago’s Board of Health Englewood branch, has said that infection is the main problem. Anytime you puncture the skin; you’re at risk for a staph or strap infection. Plus, a lot of people are allergic to the nickel in the metal that’s used, so they’ll get contact dermatitis in the area and develop a secondary infection, she said. The owner of a chain of body-piercing shops says that thin, low quality metals can rip through your skin. Thin wire, like on earrings, and can pull through the skin like a cheese slicer, he said.

If you get your belly button pierced, you could have problems sleeping, and clothes sometimes don’t allow enough air to circulate. Moisture collects around the pierced area and makes sores slower to heal. Nipple piercing can cause infection, and if you are a female, it can cause extra difficulties because the piercing may burrow through your milk producing ducts. This can create problems if you have a baby and want to breast-feed. A large majority of the worlds entertainers and athletes have body art including, Janet Jackson, Eve, LL Cool J, Lenny Kravitz, Kobe Bryant, and Ja Rule, to name a few. Some of the tattoos may be temporary ones, but the dangerous ones are the permanent tattoos. Why would someone want to be a walking billboard? I know they say imitation is the highest form of flattery, but come on. They are not getting your picture or name on them. These stars may go to the best parlors but someone in the hood may not be able to afford that luxury. A young man or woman in the inner cities will get something done and gets a serious, serious infection that could be potentially life threatening. Take the case we had here in Chicago last summer of a young man who got numerous tattoos and body Piercing in order to look like his hero Dennis Rodman. Or better yet, think about when you have a child and they want to get it because they see you with it. What are you going to say? These things have long range implications. Besides when you get 75 and are in a nursing home and someone has to change your Depends undergarment, and you are embarrassed because your tattoos are sagging and wrinkling and you can hardly make out what they say. Now that doesn’t sound too sexy, does it? So I would think 2 or 3 times before getting body art, because I would not want to be marked for life.

My people, Nubians in America it is time we stop burying the truth? It is time we discuss drug & spousal abuse, homosexuality, and bisexuality in our community. It is time we educate our youth; it’s of the utmost importance they know the truth. Why must they wait, and continue to wait, until it’s too late? Enough of this nativity about AIDS and HIV. It is #1 in our community, potentially infecting you or me. The truth is HIV is preventable. Latex condoms come a dime a dozen. You must use them consistently; PROTECTED sex can and should be hot. Ultimately you are responsible for you. Correct condom use also prevents unwanted pregnancies, and transmission of STD`s, some more commonly known as gonorrhea, HPV and this latest outbreak in Chicago of syphilis is scary to me. Know your status, get tested, prevent it, and DON`T neglects your brothers and sisters with this. Through their journey love them and get educated know the truth, control your fate, SAVE OUR YOUTH! I’m promoting condom use. I’m outraged with child abuse. I want you to educate our YOUTH.

Be Aware that there are a lot of members of the African American community Dying of AIDS or living with HIV. Respect yourself, protect yourself. Know where you stand, take the Test. Spread love, Not death.

I am trying to break the shackles of our mind. Bisexuality among Black women is very real just takeg a real good look around you. I am not against bisexuality; love is love no matters were it comes from. The greatest love is love of self. More black women than you think harbor bisexual feelings, dreams and fantasies. Many keep them at that level. Others express them through close emotional but non-sexual friendships. Still other women rejoice in their bisexuality, whether out publicly or privately, in social or political settings, in their relationships or just through sex. Some women discover their bisexuality at an early age while others find it emerges over time as one becomes aware of and open to life’s possibilities. Some women, as do some men, try to ignore or suppress their feelings and deny who they really are. They may choose to call themselves straight or lesbian to fit the expectations of others or their own need to belong. One should strive to be true to one’s self first through accepting one’s feelings and accepting others. This can lead to more open, honest, caring and fulfilling relationships and an inner peace and happiness.

I was given an introduction to the rainbow lifestyle on black planet, and in the World, provided by Lady4lady; keep an "open mind" as you are introduced to Lady4lady. I was informed that she was BI-sexual. Yes, she likes men and women. It was not a choice. She was born with it.
I was informed that there are a few titles held by the gay community.

BUTCH - is a woman who basically wants to be the boss in her relationship. She carries herself as a man and generally appears to be of a hard exterior. Most of whom are non-sensitive and demanding, most have been gay since their sensuality kicked in, never desiring a man’s touch. Same also for the title Stud which is used for a black woman (BUTCH). A butch or stud has not necessarily always been gay! Confused? Well it can be at times. Usually, from a continuous bad relationship from guys, or abusive experiences in life or just a later discovery in one’s self-the change can happen. What ever the reason may be, it’s a woman they are wanting.

LESBIAN- a female with a life long attraction for another woman, desires to touch and be touched by women, to explore all each other has to give. Most of the times sensitive to one another, knowing what a woman wants, desires, needs. Les, are more in reach with each other’s feeling and wishes. Just wanting to be sexual with a woman, (not a butch) pretty girls, feminine girls, lipstick lovers. Both are interested in pleasing each other sexually. What one does for the other is satisfaction for both. Les, are true to the game, they share the same interest in sexual behaviors and enjoy hot sex, toys multiple orgasms.

DOMINATE, "I am the Boss", is just an additional characteristic of being Lesbian; a dominant will initiate sexual activities. Usually a Dom will enjoy being touched and it takes over like a thief in the night. A Dom loves to be touched and to touch, flesh and linger between the softness that is only female. A Dom is assertive yes, but angry, vicious, or abusive no.

BI-SEXUAL– a woman who desires the best of both worlds, either a man or woman’s sex is good. Can do it all and very comfortable with both, maybe at the same time even; two heads are better than one! Bi is desirable in lovemaking; it can be fulfilling for either sex. Most times Bi is in a full relationship with men and women and is in extra curricular activities. It’s like adding a cherry on top! Being comfortable with his arrangement, it can become a common thing to do. A lot of married couples desire this third party. It keeps it hot, exciting and new. These couples are swingers, very common in older couples who need a little spice in their lives. She also stated that there is something about women loving women; she believes in God. She feels he doesn’t like it and it’s wrong, so she is not living a Godly Life at this moment in time. She is married legally to a woman and very much in love with her wife. Women both know what the other needs and most usually compensate towards one another. Now no relationship is perfect; but hers is nice.

I am sorry but I love feminine looking women.

Utah’s history with blacks.

What in the blue hell is going on?

"The Chitlins (Shit) done hit the fan."

Are white Utah couples `buying` black children? Local news stations in Utah are reporting that a family paid $30,000 in fees to the adoption agency, to adopt a black girl from Chicago.

Given the great divide between blacks and whites, a black mother who takes her child to Utah to be adopted by a white couple must be in a terrible state of mind. Impoverished black people definitely don’t trust well-to-do white people. In fact, most poor black people believe they wouldn’t be in such sorry shape if it weren’t for racist white people. So it is hard to grasp why black women are flying to Utah to give white people their children. Left behind are stunned fathers and grandmothers who are struggling to understand how a black person could do such a thing.

The black community is not a third-world country where people are living so close to the edge that they cannot be expected to take care of themselves or their children. I don’t see poor white women dragging their children to black families to raise. Why should it be normal for poor black women to hand their children to white families?

I am also troubled that some white couples may be adopting black babies because they have given up waiting for a white one. Certainly that seems to be the case in Canada where hundreds of African-American children have been adopted by Canadian couples. Critics of the Canadian adoption system claim the system is racist because the babies are priced according to their skin, and a black baby goes for about a third the cost of a white baby. Private adoption agencies in Utah give black mothers about $1,300 in cash for their so-called expenses and pay for their plane ticket and hotel accommodations.

What I wanted to say: This is not how black families operate. Because there are a large number of female-headed households in the black community, a grandmother is the rock. Most of these women are raising their second set of children, and they are closer to getting it right. Most often, these grandmothers find themselves being the backbone of a fragile skeleton. In Illinois, about 103,717 grandparents are responsible for raising their grandchildren, and 41 percent of these grandparents are black. Yes, most of these grandparents are also women, and because they have achieved a level of wisdom you can only grow into, many of the boys who could have ended up in gangs grew into successful men, and many wild, single mothers went on to complete their education and to build meaningful careers.

The black community needs a sounding board as well. Because if our leaders allow black babies to so easily be put on this auction block, what could be next?

Utah’s history with blacks.

Like all other races, black people are responsible for raising the children they bring into the world, and it is sickening that these black mothers think white mothers can do a better job raising black children.
After all, Utah has never been seen as a state that welcomes blacks. Many of us remember that like most denominations, the Mormons taught that blacks were inferior to whites. But unlike many other denominations, the Mormons were slow to change. In fact, the religious denomination didn’t lift its ban against African Americans in the priesthood until 1978. Given the history of the state’s most dominant residents, I can’t understand how any black woman would be comfortable leaving her child in Utah. The only explanation is these women just don’t know any better.

If you live in Chicago, I bet you didn’t know this, did you?
Patricia L. Hill, An 17 year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, former president of the African American Police League. Stated that "Irish Americans in Chicago represent 3 percent of the population but hold more than 80 percent of police and firefighter positions. 4,000 firefighter in Chicago, only 400 are black."

Why Black Men Kill Each Other and Commit Suicide.
The black male in America pictured as "an endangered species" and repeatedly painted in the media as criminal dealing drugs, raping women, and killing each other has added suicide to a behavior pattern that was previously both perplexing and disturbing. The reasons for the rise in suicide among young black males, according to parents, psychologists, sociologists and others vary. Of those interviewed some point to deteriorating components in the American society where the clash between ideologies is leaving these members of a formerly enslaved population unable to cope. Others describe a "feeling of hopelessness, of being trapped." And some simply baffled. The Center for Disease Control reports that black males ages 15-24 are killing themselves at a faster rate than any other age group. The report disclosed that compared to 8 percent for white males in the same age group from 1980 to 2003 suicides for black males climbed to 63 percent. More black men in the United States are behind bars than are in higher education, according to a new study by a Washington DC think tank.

Following a booming prison construction and an increasing the numbers of people being incarcerated for non-violent crimes, there were 791,600 black men in American prisons and county jails in 2003, and only 603,032 enrolled in colleges and universities, according to the Justice Policy Institute, which favors alternatives to imprisonment.

"If your white great-great grandfather killed my great-great grandfather, And your white great grandfather sold my great-grandfather, And your grandfather raped my grandmother, And your father stole, cheated, lied and robbed my father, What kind of fool would I have to be to say "Come my friend" to the White daughter and son. Souljah was not born to make white people feel comfortable I am African first, I am Black first I want what’s good for me and my people first And if my survival means your total destruction, then so be it You built this wicked system They say two wrongs don’t make a right But it damn sure makes things even."

The Other Side Of Whites In America

I would like to show the other side of whites in America - a side never talked about. This is a cruel story well worth reading. But first, some background info: It is surprisingly common to see whites in America adopting black crack babies. This particular story is very cruel. Blacks have lots of crack babies- and great many babies are just thrown away. In this particular case a black mother bashed her newborn baby on the side of the head and then threw her in a toilet to die. A white Policewoman found and adopted the baby. What is interesting is how many black children are abandoned and left to die in America.

It is white people who often take pity on these throwaway children and try to take care of them. I have noticed on numerous occasions in the mall or in a super-market, a white woman either with her own white children and a black child among them, or a young white couple who have adopted a black baby. I have never in my life seen a black couple adopting a white baby - but I have seen many whites - often well-off/upper-class whites who have adopted black babies as their own and who raise them.

What do you think about transracial adoption? Can "whites" provide loving and caring homes for "black" babies or other babies "of color?" Can "whites" provide the "cultural influences" necessary to develop self-esteem and pride within "black" kids? How many of the "black" kids languishing in foster care are actually of mixed-race -- not "black" at all? While delivering drugs to a fetus is not a crime in Illinois, it does fall under the definition of neglect, giving the state a reason to open a child welfare case, said John Goad, associate deputy director of child protection for Cook County for the Illinois. Black babies in Illinois are more likely than white babies to be taken from their mothers and placed in foster care because of drug exposure, the Reporter found. Thank you White America, for adopting black crack babies.

"Peter Pan syndrome"

Men who choose to avoid responsibility--in denial about their adulthood. He had all the pain of adulthood--and adult pleasure? He hovered outside the window, looking in. The longing he feels for both lost adulthood and lost childhood is palpable. These black men have been forced to think of themselves as a baby, What does a black man call his close acquaintances? Boys. What does a black man call his place of residence? His crib."

A child’s chance to escape anger and injustice begins with one man… Their Father.

THE ROLE OF BLACK FATHERS IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT TRADITIONS IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT IN THEIR EARLIEST YEARS IN THE NEW WORLD ENSLAVED AFRICIAN-AMERICANS WERE CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN. MOREOVER, THEIR LOYALTY TO THEIR CHILDREN AND MATES DEFINED THE EFFORTS OF THEIR WHITE SLAVE HOLDERS TO BREAK THE FAMILY BONDS OF THEIR SLAVES. THE NEGATIVE SCARS THAT AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEN CARRY CONCERNING THEIR ROLE, AS FATHERS MUST BE PUT TO REST. THE STEREOTYPE THAT AFRICAN-AMERICAN FATHERS DO NOT DEAL WITH THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF FATHERHOOD IS SIMPLY AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE. NOT ONLY DO MANY FATHERS RAISE THEIR CHILDREN IN A HEALTHY NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, BUT THEY ALSO RAISE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH THEM BY OTHERS.

The Original Boys in Hood, has been replaced by the Pookie, Ray, Ray and Li Man the new boys in the hood.

THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS NOT RUN BY MEN BUT BY LITTLE THUGGISH MAMA`S BOYS. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS A MEN`S MOVEMENT TO RESCUE BLACK BOYS BEFORE THESE THUGS FURTHER DISGRACE AND REINVENT MANHOOD THEMSELVES.

Today Oscar Schindler`s name is known to millions as a household word for courage in a world of brutality. He saved hundreds of Jews from Hitler’s gas chambers. One remarkable man who outwitted the Nazis to save more Jews from the gas chambers than any other during World War 2. He surfaced from the chaos of madness, spent millions bribing and paying off the SS and eventually risked his life to rescue 1,200 Jews in the shadow of Auschwitz. In those years, millions of Jews died in the death camps, but Schindler`s Jews miraculously survived. Oscar Schindler died penniless. Today there are 7,000 descendants of Schindler`s Jews living in US and Europe, and many in Israel. Before the Second World War, the Jewish population of Poland was 3.5 million. Today there are between 3,000 and 4,000 left. Here you find Schindler Jews sharing memories of their unlikely savior - generations will remember him for what he did.

1942 - On 20 January, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis complete the planning for the End losung (Final Solution), the extermination of the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, homosexuals, communists, and other "undesirables" and "decadents" in death camps run by the SS and controlled by the Gestapo. About six million European Jews die in the following `Holocaust`. Most (about 4.5 million) of those killed come from Poland and the Soviet Union. About 125,000 are German Jews.

Adolf Hitler (1889-1945)

Joseph Stalin killed approximately 20 million, including up to 14.5 million needlessly starved to death. At least one million executed for political "offences". At least 9.5 million more deported, exiled or imprisoned in work camps, with many of the estimated five million sent to the `Gulag Archipelago` never returning alive. Other estimates place the number of deported at 28 million, including 18 million sent to the `Gulag`.

Joseph Stalin (1879-1953)

King Léopold killed five to 15 million Congolese (Africans) (the indigenous inhabitants of the Congo River basin).

King Léopold II of Belgium (1835-1909)

Adolph Hitler has been shown in history books as a man who has tried to decimate the Jewish people. And their children will learn of the suffering of their people, yet nowhere in these same history books will our children learn of King Leopold and how he tried to do the same of the Congolese people.

Who Are the Nubians?

The Nubians are believed to be the first human race on earth, and the ancient Egyptians adopted most of their customs and traditions. To the Greeks, they were known as Ethiopians and Nubia as the land of Punts, i.e. the land of gods. Nubians are the people of northern Sudan and southern Egypt. With a history and traditions, which can be traced to the dawn of civilization, the Nubian first settled along the banks of the Nile from Aswan. Along this great river they developed one of the oldest and greatest civilizations in Africa. Until they lost their last kingdom (Christian Nubia) only 5 centuries back the Nubians remained as the main rivals to the other great African civilization of Egypt. Nubia is the homeland of Africa’s earliest black culture with a history which can be traced from 3100 B.C. onward through Nubian monuments and artifacts, as well as written records from Egypt and Rome. In antiquity, Nubia was a land of great natural wealth, of gold mines, ebony, ivory and incense, which was always prized by her neighbors. Although Sudan had remained the main homeland of Nubians through their long history, many of their descendants is today’s Egypt.

A Black woman from Nubia.

Hatshepsut, Queen of Egypt 1504-1482 BC.

During the glorious 18th Dynasty, a powerful, visionary young woman came to be called pharaoh, the Queen Hathshepsut. Hatshepsut who was one of the handful of female rulers in Ancient Egypt. Her reign was the longest of all the female pharaohs, and her funerary temple still stands as a tribute to her incredible rise to power.

My Ancestors.

When we go to glory, when our time is over will we stand unspoken for
When the light becomes too blinding? When my ancestors come to meet me,
They’ll have questions about my drugging they may look on my enemies kindly when my life becomes a memory. When my ancestors meet me up there.
They may look upon me they may take it badly all the women I used to love all the things they won’t approve of. When my ancestors come to meet me well I hope that they welcome me there they’ll forgive me forgetting their names when the place becomes too frightening will my ancestors meet me up there.

A Brief Chronology of Slavery.

1441: Antam Goncalves, Portuguese sailor, seized 10 Africans near Cape Bojador; usually taken as the start of the Atlantic Slave Trade.

1865: Abolition of slavery in the United States (13th amendment).
1441 UNTIL 1865 EQUAL 424 YEARS OF SLAVERY.

What Was Jim Crow?

Jim Crow was the name of the racial caste system, which operated primarily, but not exclusively in southern and Border States, between 1865, and the mid-1965s. Jim Crow was more than a series of rigid anti-Black laws. It was a way of life. Under Jim Crow, African Americans were relegated to the status of second class citizens. Jim Crow represented the legitimization of anti-Black racism. Many Christian ministers and theologians taught that Whites were the Chosen people, Blacks were cursed to be servants, and God supported racial segregation.
