"A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture are like trees without roots."
Marcus Garvey 1887-1940

I bet you didn’t you know this, did you?

Today Oscar Schindler`s name is known to millions as a household word for courage in a world of brutality. He saved hundreds of Jews from Hitler’s gas chambers. One remarkable man who outwitted the Nazis to save more Jews from the gas chambers than any other during World War 2. He surfaced from the chaos of madness, spent millions bribing and paying off the SS and eventually risked his life to rescue 1,200 Jews in the shadow of Auschwitz. In those years, millions of Jews died in the death camps, but Schindler`s Jews miraculously survived. Oscar Schindler died penniless. Today there are 7,000 descendants of Schindler`s Jews living in US and Europe, and many in Israel. Before the Second World War, the Jewish population of Poland was 3.5 million. Today there are between 3,000 and 4,000 left. Here you find Schindler Jews sharing memories of their unlikely savior - generations will remember him for what he did.

1942 - On 20 January, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis complete the planning for the End losung (Final Solution), the extermination of the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, homosexuals, communists, and other "undesirables" and "decadents" in death camps run by the SS and controlled by the Gestapo. About six million European Jews die in the following `Holocaust`. Most (about 4.5 million) of those killed come from Poland and the Soviet Union. About 125,000 are German Jews.

Adolf Hitler (1889-1945)

Joseph Stalin killed approximately 20 million, including up to 14.5 million needlessly starved to death. At least one million executed for political "offences". At least 9.5 million more deported, exiled or imprisoned in work camps, with many of the estimated five million sent to the `Gulag Archipelago` never returning alive. Other estimates place the number of deported at 28 million, including 18 million sent to the `Gulag`.

Joseph Stalin (1879-1953)

King Léopold killed five to 15 million Congolese (Africans) (the indigenous inhabitants of the Congo River basin).

King Léopold II of Belgium (1835-1909)

Adolph Hitler has been shown in history books as a man who has tried to decimate the Jewish people. And their children will learn of the suffering of their people, yet nowhere in these same history books will our children learn of King Leopold and how he tried to do the same of the Congolese people.

Teach our children, true history.

Who Are the Nubians?

The Nubians are believed to be the first human race on earth, and the ancient Egyptians adopted most of their customs and traditions. To the Greeks, they were known as Ethiopians and Nubia as the land of Punts, i.e. the land of gods. Nubians are the people of northern Sudan and southern Egypt. With a history and traditions, which can be traced to the dawn of civilization, the Nubian first settled along the banks of the Nile from Aswan. Along this great river they developed one of the oldest and greatest civilizations in Africa. Until they lost their last kingdom (Christian Nubia) only 5 centuries back the Nubians remained as the main rivals to the other great African civilization of Egypt. Nubia is the homeland of Africa’s earliest black culture with a history which can be traced from 3100 B.C. onward through Nubian monuments and artifacts, as well as written records from Egypt and Rome. In antiquity, Nubia was a land of great natural wealth, of gold mines, ebony, ivory and incense, which was always prized by her neighbors. Although Sudan had remained the main homeland of Nubians through their long history, many of their descendants is today’s Egypt.

Hatshepsut, Queen of Egypt 1504-1482 BC.

During the glorious 18th Dynasty, a powerful, visionary young woman came to be called pharaoh, the Queen Hathshepsut. Hatshepsut who was one of the handful of female rulers in Ancient Egypt. Her reign was the longest of all the female pharaohs, and her funerary temple still stands as a tribute to her incredible rise to power.

My Ancestors.

When we go to glory, when our time is over will we stand unspoken for
When the light becomes too blinding? When my ancestors come to meet me,
They’ll have questions about my drugging they may look on my enemies kindly when my life becomes a memory. When my ancestors meet me up there.
They may look upon me they may take it badly all the women I used to love all the things they won’t approve of. When my ancestors come to meet me well I hope that they welcome me there they’ll forgive me forgetting their names when the place becomes too frightening will my ancestors meet me up there.

A Brief Chronology of Slavery.

1441: Antam Goncalves, Portuguese sailor, seized 10 Africans near Cape Bojador; usually taken as the start of the Atlantic Slave Trade.

1865: Abolition of slavery in the United States (13th amendment).
1441 UNTIL 1865 EQUAL 424 YEARS OF SLAVERY.

What Was Jim Crow?

Jim Crow was the name of the racial caste system, which operated primarily, but not exclusively in southern and Border States, between 1865, and the mid-1965s. Jim Crow was more than a series of rigid anti-Black laws. It was a way of life. Under Jim Crow, African Americans were relegated to the status of second class citizens. Jim Crow represented the legitimization of anti-Black racism. Many Christian ministers and theologians taught that Whites were the Chosen people, Blacks were cursed to be servants, and God supported racial segregation.

1865 UNTIL 1965 EQUAL 100 YEARS OF JIM CROW.
SLAVERY AND JIM CROW EQUAL 524 YEARS OF GOD BLESS AMERICA FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN.

Condoleezza Rice, Bush picks for US Secretary of State.
Racism was so ingrained in her childhood that she says she hardly noticed it. She was only eight years old on September 15, 1963 when the Ku Klux Klan carried out one of its most infamous bombings, of an Alabama church. One of four 10-year-old girls killed had been a friend of Rice since kindergarten. Born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 14, 1954, and she did not notice racism. What in the blue hell?

The Secret Lives of Wives and Why they stray:

With the work place and the Internet, overscheduled lives and inattentive husbands--it’s no wonder more African American women are looking for comfort in the arms of another man. When groups of women get together, especially if they’re mothers and have been married for more than six or seven years, and especially if there’s alcohol involved, the conversation is usually the same. They talk about the kids and work-how stressed they are, how busy and bone tired. They gripe about their husbands and, if they’re being perfectly honest and the wine kicks in, they talk about the disappointments in their marriages.

They do it for love. They do it for sex. They do it to feel beautiful and boost their self-esteem. No, we’re not talking about why women get married, but why women cheat on the men they have married. Female infidelity is not a new phenomenon, but it is a fact of life that many people, including women, don’t want to acknowledge. While the cheating man has long been the subject of boasts, jokes, novels and movies, the unfaithful woman is now getting more attention and scrutiny. And justifiably so.

Where as decades ago, the unfaithful wife was a rarity, an abnormality, today’s missus is more likely to cheat than her predecessors. The first reliable estimate concerning infidelity was made in 1953 by renowned sex researcher Alfred Quinsy, who in his landmark study found that 50 percent of husbands and 26 percent of wives surveyed had cheated by age 40. However, in recent years, women have been catching up to men. A 1997 Ball State University study suggests that young women, those under age 40, are just as likely to commit adultery as men are their age. Among older couples, the stereotype of men being more likely to stray holds true. Sex researchers agree that today more women are committing adultery. At the same time, more and more women are working outside the home alongside men, oftentimes in office environments that are charged with sexual electricity. In addition, some studies show that the more sexual partners a person has before marriage, the more likely she or he is to cheat on a spouse. The reasons women cheat vary considerably.

Some get involved in extramarital affairs because they are lonely, others because they want to escape the monotony of marriage. Still others are motivated to cheat due to revenge after they find lipstick or other telltale signs of their husbands` infidelity. Then there are the selfish, character-flawed women who marry good men who love and take care of them but continue to consort with other men for sexual excitement or for the money and other material goods the men can provide. Where do married women find their boyfriends? At work, mostly. Nearly 60 percent of American women work outside the home, up from about 40 percent in 1964. Quite simply, women intersect with more people during the day than they used to. They go to more meetings, take more business trips and, presumably, participate more in flirtatious water-cooler chatter. If infidelity is an odd game, and then the odds are better now than they used to be that a woman would accidentally bump into someone during the workday that, at least momentarily, interests her more than her husband does. There’s a more subtle point embedded in here as well: women and men bring their best selves to work, leaving their bad behavior and marital resentments at home with their dirty sweatpants. At work, "we dress nicely.

We think before we speak. We’re poised," says Elana Katz, a therapist in private practice and a divorce mediator at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. "And many people spend more time out in the world than with their families. I think sometimes people have the idea that [an affair] will protect the marriage." They get a self-esteem boost during work hours and don’t rock the boat at home. "In some paradoxical sense this may be a respite, a little break from the marriage.
